Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood (radhiyallahu anhu)
Whoever likes to recite the Qur’aan as purely as it was first revealed, let him recite it like ibn Umm Abd (i.e. ibn Mas’ud)
The sun was blistering hot. There was no hope of attaining water in the harsh mountain passes of Makkah, where the blessed Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wasallam, and his companion Abu Bakr took respite from the oppression and the insults of the pagan Makkans. As they penetrated deeper into the passes, a great thirst overtook them, a thirst that exhausted their bodies and parched their throats.

After the demise of Rasulullah (??? ???? ???? ?????) his vicegerency in every respect devolved to Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddique (radhiyallahu anhu). By virtue of the Bay’t (Oath of Allegiance) of the Muhaajireen and Ansaar, he was appointed the Khalifah. While Qur’aanic verses allude to Hadhrat Abu Bakr’s khilaafat, the Ahaadith of Rasulullah (??? ???? ???? ?????) in this regard are explicit. Read more

Abu Hurayrah RadhiALLAHu Anhum
Submitted by admin on Sun, 12/28/2008 - 16:55
"An Abi Hurayrata, radiyallahu anhu, qal.' qala rasul Allahi, sallallahu alayhi wa sailam..." Through this phrase millions of Muslims from the early history of Islam to the present have come to be familiar with the name Abu Hurayrah. In speeches and lectures, in Friday khutbahs and seminars, in the books of hadith and sirah, fiqh and ibadah, the name Abu Hurayrah is mentioned in this fashion: "On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may God be pleased with him who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said... In the year 35 Hijri after the shahaadat of Hadhrat Uthman (radhiyallahu anhu) the reigns of the khilaafat were taken up by Hadhrat Ali (karramallahu wajhah). Since he is the external dimension of Rasulullah’s spiritual munificence (faidh) in the Chishtiyyah Chains, discussion on him is of pivotal importance. Read more

Asma bint Abu Bakr
Submitted by admin on Sun, 12/28/2008 - 16:54
It had been three days since they were hiding in the cave. Rasulullah (saw) and his close companion, Abu Bakr (ra), were forced to pause their migration from Makkah to Madinah and seek temporary refuge in the cave of Thawr. The disbeliever's hatred for them and the Islam they represented had reached its boiling point. The bounty was set for 100 camels for the person who would bring back Rasulullah (saw), dead or alive.
During this very perilous time, it was very difficult for anyone to send food to the Prophet (saw). None of the other Muslims knew of their whereabouts and even if they did, it was such a delicate situation in which the slightest irresponsibility and lack of shrewdness could endanger the life of the Prophet (saw).

Bilal (radhiyallahu anhu)

Hadhrat Bilal (ra) is one of the best known of the galaxy of Sahabah as moazzin of the Prophet's (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) masjid. He was an Abyssinian slave of a disbeliever in Makkah. His conversion to Islam was, naturally, not liked by his master and he was, therefore, persecuted mercilessly. Ummayah bin Khalaf, who was the worst enemy of Islam, would make him lie down on the burning sand at midday and would place a heavy stone on his breast, so that he could not even move a limb. He would then say to him:
"Renounce Islam or swelter and die."
Even under these afflictions, Bilal (ra) would exclaim:-
"Ahad"-The One (Allah). "Ahad"-The One (Allah).

When none believed me, Khadijah (R.A) did. She made me a partner in her wealth.”Those are the words of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) about his wife the great Muslim lady, Hazrat `Khadija-tul-Kubra’ (R.A).
Khadijah (R.A), married the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) when she was 40 and he was 25. They had six children: two sons, Qasim and Abdullah (also known as Tahir and Tayyib), and four daughters: Zainub, Ruqaiyyah, Umm Kulthum and Fatimah (Radhiyallahu-Anhum-Ajmaeen). Read more

Written by Masha’ikh-e-Chisht, Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Sahab (r.a.)
After the demise of Hadhrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu anhu), the new khalifah Hadhrat Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) assumed the reigns of the khilaafate by the appointment of his predecessor. The reigns of both the worldly and spiritual leadership came into his hands. His appointment as the khalifah is indeed an interesting episode.
When Hadhrat Abu Bakr’s illness took a turn for the worse and his demise seemed imminent, he summoned Hadhrat Ali, Hadhrat Uthman, some Muhaajireen and Ansaar. He addressed them thus: Read more

Hadhrat Uthman (radhiyallahu anhu) is the third Khalifah. He assumed the reigns of the khilaafate on a Saturday in Muharram 24 Hijri. He was appointed by the decision of the Ahl-e-Sh?ra (the senior Sahaabah who constituted the Sh?ra committee).
According to Hafiz who wrote in Isabah, Hadhrat Uthman was born 6 years after the Episode of the Elephants. He accepted Islam as a result of Hadhrat Abu Bakr’s efforts. When he accepted Islam, Rasulullah (??? ???? ???? ?????) gave his daughter, Ruqayyah in marriage to him. Read more
